Occom Pond
The loop around Occom Pond is a fan favorite among locals and students alike. This trail takes runners through gorgeous pine forests and around a popular golf course. River Trail
River Trail is one of the best running routes around Dartmouth College. The 2-mile pathway begins on Main Street, winding around Mink Brook and the Connecticut River before linking with Maple Street. This trail is super accessible and takes joggers through campus and the town. Expect beautiful views of the river and one steep hill that will be a breeze to climb.
Wheelock Trail
Wheelock Trail starts on the opposite side of Main Street but still leads runners along the breathtaking Mink Brook. Storrs Pond

The main route is 2-miles long and gives runners a first-row view of the water. Since there are multiple paths to choose from, everyone can find a course that matches their skill level.
Rip Road
Rip Road isn’t technically a running route, but those familiar with the area know that it’s a perfect makeshift trail around the outskirts of Hanover. Students often start their run on campus and follow along the golf course until they reach Lyme Road. From there, you can continue back to your starting place or take a detour on the golf green to extend your jog.
