Green Key Photo Contest Official Rules

#GreenKey Contest Official Rules


The Dartmouth Co-op #GreenKey contest is a month long photo contest. Participants will be able to enter as many times as they like from 5/11/17 to 6/5/17. The contest is split between 9 categories with two additional “grand prize” categories. The categories are as follows:

  • Pets
  • Scenic
  • Selfie
  • Humor
  • Around Campus
  • Concerts
  • Fraternity
  • Sorority
  • On the Green

Grand Prize Categories are:

  • Most Votes
  • Best in Show

The winners of each of the categories and the “Best in Show” grand prize category will be chosen by a judging panel made up of the staff of the Dartmouth Co-op. The judging process will be 100% anonymous to eliminate any biases, etc.

There are prize packages for each individual category as well as two grand prizes. Prizes for categories are as follows:

Pets:

Winner will receive a Dartmouth Dog Collar and a Dartmouth Dog Leash

Scenic:

Winner will receive a Winter Carnival Poster Pillow

Humor:

Winner will receive a Dartmouth Ogio Covert Backpack

Selfie:

Winner will receive a Dartmouth Tumble Tower

Around Campus:

Winner will receive a Dartmouth Camp Chair

Concerts:

Winner will receive a Dartmouth Winter Carnival Poster (winner will stop by our store and make their choice from available options)

Fraternity:

Winner will receive a Dartmouth Washer Set

Sorority:

Winner will receive a Lone Pine Necklace, Bracelet, and Earrings

On the Green:

Winner will receive a Dartmouth Corn Hole Board Game Set

Grand Prizes are as follows:

Winner will receive a Dartmouth Estate Chair (non-personalized)

Best in Show:

Winner will receive a Dartmouth Lighted Sign

NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN THIS CONTEST.

Eligibility Contest is open to legal residents of the United States who are 18 years of age or older at time of entry. Participants may enter by one of three social media channels (or email) in the following manner:

Facebook:

Upload a public photo to the Dartmouth Co-op Facebook page. In the photo description you MUST tag @DartmouthCoop and use the hashtags #GreenKey and #DartmouthCoop. You may include any additional descriptions/captions.

Twitter:

Upload a public photo to Twitter. In the photo description you MUST tag @DartmouthCoop and use the hashtags #GreenKey and #DartmouthCoop. You may include any additional descriptions/captions.

Instagram:

Upload a public photo to Instagram. In the photo description you MUST tag @DartmouthCoop and use the hashtags #GreenKey and #DartmouthCoop. You may include any additional descriptions/captions.

Participants may also email photos to our contest@dartmouthcoop.com account. You may include any additional descriptions/captions.

Entry by mail or any means other than the methods specified above is prohibited and will not be considered as an official entry. The contest is not open to: (a) employees of Dartmouth Co-op, Inc., and/or (b) the immediate family members of those persons identified in (a) above. Each winner is subject to proof of eligibility. Void where prohibited or restricted by law.

Entries are limited to a total of one (1) per photograph. Dartmouth Co-op will reject subsequent entries of a duplicate photo. There are no limits on how many photographs one person may enter into the contest. Dartmouth Co-op will reject any entries that have questionable moral connotations, as determined solely by Dartmouth Co-op. All decisions by Dartmouth Co-op to reject or accept entries will be firm and final.

Participants who successfully enter the Green Key Photo Contest will receive electronically a promo code for $25 off a purchase of $100 or more on DartmouthCoop.com. One promo code per person. Cannot be combined with any other offer. If entering by email the promo code will be emailed within 24 hours of photo submission, along with confirmation that the contest entry was received and the photo added to the contest gallery. If entering via social media you will be contacted via that respective social media channel within 24 hours with your coupon and confirmation of entry. If you have not received your code after this period, please contact the Dartmouth Co-op for assistance.

Dartmouth Co-op is not responsible for entries that are corrupted or otherwise illegible. Dartmouth Co-op is not responsible for lost, late or misdirected entries. No entries will be accepted after 11:59pm (EST) on May 22, 2017. All entries shall become the sole property of Dartmouth Co-op and will not be acknowledged or returned. By entering, participants acknowledge compliance with these Official Rules, including all eligibility requirements. Entry into this sweepstakes authorizes Dartmouth Co-op to add participant information into the GREEN KEY PHOTOGRAPHY CONTEST database. Dartmouth Co-op will use this database to create an emailing list of interesting material, news or special offers from their businesses. Dartmouth Co-op respects your privacy. We will not give or sell your information to others without your permission.

Entry into this contest authorizes Dartmouth Co-op to use all photos submitted, unconditionally, and with all rights, copyrights, titles and interest in the photographs granted to Dartmouth Co-op, free from any claims whatsoever by the Photographer. The photos may be combined with other images, text and graphics, and cropped altered or modified by Dartmouth Co-op staff or Assigns. Entry into this contest is acknowledgement that photographer has gained permission to use the likeness of any person depicted in the photograph, and that permission is also granted to Dartmouth Co-op.

All photographs submitted will automatically be entered into consideration for all categories including the Grand Prize categories.

Selecting the Winners

The GREEN KEY PHOTOGRAPHY CONTEST ENTRY PERIOD commences on May 11, 2017 and ends on June 5, 2017. The total number of eligible entries received will determine the odds of winning. Judging will be completed within 20 days of the contest end date (June 19, 2017), the judging process is conducted as follows:

There will be five judges made up of staff of Dartmouth Co-op and/or any of our selected third parties. All photos will be scored on a 10-point scale. There are 4 criteria upon which the photos are judged. Each photo’s final score will be based only on the average of all judges scores.

The criteria are:

  1. Quality of Aesthetics
  2. Quality of Content/Subject Matter
  3. Overall Happiness Conveyed by the Photo.
  4. Overall Impression.

When submitting their scores, each judges will also be required to submit the categories they believe the photo in question falls under. Each photo will be eligible to win any category that the judges submit. For example, if one judge submits a photo to the Kids category and another judge submits the photo to the Pets category, that photo is eligible to win either the Kids or the Pets category. Photos can only win one category. If your photo was to have the highest score in one category you will be ineligible to win any of the other categories.

Each judge will score each photo criterion on a 0-10 scale. These scores will be averaged and the resulting score will be the final score.

The contest winner of each category will be notified in writing, via email, via social media, in addition to a public announcement on all social media channels on or within 7 days of the contest’s end date. Upon notification, the winner must respond by telephone to the Dartmouth Co-op contact given in the notification email to confirm identity and eligibility. If there is no response from the potential winner within 14 days of the notification, or the potential winner fails to properly confirm their identity, the next highest scoring photograph will become the winner will be selected at random from the remaining eligible entries.

Additional Terms and Conditions

The contest prize is non-transferable. No cash will be awarded. Dartmouth Co-op will make arrangements for the fulfillment of all prizes. Tax and gratuity is not included in the grand prize. The contest winner may be required to sign an affidavit of eligibility and release of Dartmouth Co-op and their respective employees and agents from any and all liability, claims, demands, and causes of action for personal injury and/or damage, theft, or loss suffered in connection with this contest.

The value of the prizes may be taxable as income. Upon receipt of the contest prize, the winner is required to comply with any and all applicable federal, state and local tax laws and pay all such taxes as becomes due with respect to the contest prize. The winner will agree to indemnify and hold harmless Dartmouth Co-op, their employees and agents from and against any liability for such taxes. Winners agree to adhere to laws of contest as governed by the state of New Hampshire.

Any violation of these official rules by the winner will result in the winner’s disqualification as winner of the contest and all privileges as winner will be immediately terminated. Dartmouth Co-op reserves the right to disqualify any individual it finds to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the contest; to be acting in violation of the Official Rules. If for any reason the contest is not capable of running as planned, including the loss of entries by participants, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this contest, or any other causes beyond the control of Dartmouth Co-op, Dartmouth Co-op reserves the right at its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the contest.

By participating in the contest, entrants agree to be bound by these rules and by the decisions of Dartmouth Co-op, which are final in all matters relating to this sweepstakes.
